2020-21 Enrollment
 
Thank you for your patience as we adapt to the COVID-19 pandemic and resulting school closure.  Below are revised instructions as it relates to enrollment and course selections for all families, including those who have requested an intra-district transfer.
 
Welcome to the San Dieguito Union High School District and Diegueño Middle School, home of the COUGARS! We are looking forward to having your student join us. Below is all-important information that will assist you in getting your student enrolled in SDUHSD's Diegueño Middle School for the 2020-2021 school year. The SDUHSD enrollment window opens on February 10, 2020.  Please contact our counseling office wendy.woodard@sduhsd.net if you have questions regarding enrollment.
 
STEP 1: SDUHSD's Online Enrollment & Return of Required Documents
  • Complete SDUHSD's Online Enrollment: welcome letter with instructions (English and Spanish)
  • Return required documents to Diegueño Middle School by either:
    • Scanning to wendy.woodard@sduhsd.net     
      OR
    • Drop off at Diegueño Administrative Office 
      Monday 3/30 - April 4/2 between 9:00 am -12:00 noon. April 3 will only be 8:30 - 9:30 am. 
      Please bring copies of documents as we will be unable to accommodate any requests for copies during these drop off hours to ensure social distancing.
STEP 2:  Elementary School Visits,  Parent Information Night & Course Selection
 
Elementary School Visits were completed in early March.
During our visits, we met with all 6th-grade students to present information about our courses, course selection, and campus activities.  Your student received an envelope with a Diegueño welcome letter to share with you. It includes a course selection contract and other site specific forms to be completed. These were to be returned to 6th-grade teacher by Friday, March 20, 2020. 
 
Course selection has been extended through April 17:
Step One: Select courses online through Aeries Parent Portal. 
Step Two: Complete hard copy of Course Selection Contract
Step Three: Scan Class Planning Sheet only to wendy.woodard@sduhsd.net
  *If you have already submitted it to your elementary school, you do not need to resubmit. 
 
 
For families who have been granted an Intra District Transfer:

Pre-enrollment: If you have not started the pre-enrollment process, please pre-enroll at the school your student will attend in 2020-21.  If you have started the process with DNO, please finalize it with us so that we can transfer your records to the new school. If you have started the process with your boundary school and were granted an intra-district transfer to DNO, please complete the process with your boundary school.

Course Selection: Please complete course selection with the school your student will attend in 2020-21 starting April 1. This will need to be done even if you have already completed course selection with your boundary school. For more information about courses, to to the DNO Course Information page. 
**Please note, you will not be able to complete online course selection with the new school until you complete the pre-enrollment process.**

STEP 1: SDUHSD's Online Enrollment & Return of Required Documents
  • Complete SDUHSD's Online Enrollment: welcome letter with instructions (English and Spanish)
  • Return required documents to the Diegueño Registrar in the main office. Contact her to make an appointment at wendy.woodard@sduhsd.net. 
 
STEP 2: Course Selection
 
Fill in the Grade Class Planning Sheet for the student's grade and return to the counseling office.
