Bike/ E-Bike Safety and permits
Diegueño requires all bike riders to complete a bike safety course and apply for a bike permit in order to ride their bike to school. The safety of our students is our top priority and a permit application process allows for DNO to ensure all our students are equipped to ride safely. We partner with the San Diego Bike Coalition to offer a free bike safety course to all students who will be riding.
Permit Process:
1. Attend a bike safety class. Options include the on-campus course offered at the beginning of the school year, a San Diego Bike Coalition safety course, or the online bike safety course listed below. (If you are taking the online course below, log into the program with your Diegueno email and password. Once you are logged in use the code DNW7E to complete the course.)
2. Submit bike permit application with parent/guardian signature.
3. Receive your bike tag and keep it on your bike for the remainder of the year.
